Tour Details

The driver will pick you up on time when you arrive in Shanghai on Day 1, and then take you to your hotel. You will visit Yuyuan Garden, Yuyuan Market, Nanjing Road and the Bund area. For the Day 2, after meeting your guide at your hotel lobby, you will go to Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai History Museum and finally Pudong New Area. You will be sent to airport for departure as the tour is over.

What to Expect

This tour covers those highlight scenic spots of Shanghai, allowing you to appreciate Chinese private mansion with long history, to meander in the local busy market and street to feel the genuine civilian atmosphere. You are also guided to have an understanding of the modernity of Shanghai which is indicated in the different styles of skyscrapers. All private transfer, Chinese lunch and guide are included.

Day 1Shanghai Arrival (Lunch)

Upon your arrival in Shanghai, our guide will meet you holding a welcome board with your name at the airport/ train station/ port, and transfer you to your hotel for check-in.

After a short rest, let’s start the tour to experience a corner of old Shanghai. First you’ll be driven to the over 400-year-old Yuyuan Garden, a representative ancient garden in Shanghai boasting with elegant pavilions, villa, lotus pond and bridges. The neighboring Yuyuan Market is a bustling marketplace set in an old Chinese neighborhood with traditional architecture and shops selling living things like local snacks and various crafts.
Next, walk through the Nanjing Road. The road stretches from east area of the Bund towards Hongqiao, with Shanghai’s center point People’s Square in the middle. Now Nanjing Road has turned into the number one site for shopping in the city.

At last, you will move to the Bund, a 1.5 kilometer long walkway along the western bank of the Huangpu River. Home to 52 buildings with different architectural styles such as Gothic, Baroque Romanesque, Renaissance, and Chinese, the Bund is regarded as “The Museum of International Architecture.”

After all the activities, you will be sent back to your hotel with the fullest pleasure and content.

Day 2Shanghai Departure (lunch)

After hotel pickup by your tour guide, you will be led to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the Pudong District which is the tallest TV tower in Asia and a symbol of modern Shanghai due to its unique style and the height. Go down from the top to the ground floor, you’ll arrive at Shanghai History Museum. Established in 1952, the Shanghai Museum has a collection of more than 120,000 rare cultural pieces from the Old Stone Age to modern times, which are displayed in 11 theme exhibition rooms and 3 basic exhibition halls.

After that let’s move to the Pudong New Area and pay a visit to the skyscrapers by car ride. If time permits, you can have a visit to French Concession or Shanghai Old Street. At the end of today’s tour our tour guide and driver will see you off to the Pudong airport for departure. Service ends here.
