From Oct 21st, 2014, Hangzhou became the 10th city in China to offer 72-hour visa-free entry. Currently, besides Hangzhou, foreigners can also enjoy 72-hour visa-free travel in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Chongqing, Shenyang, Xi’an, Guilin, and Kunming. Under this policy, transit travelers from 51 countries can stay in Zhejiang province for up to 72 hours without a visa when making an international transfer via Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport as long as they can provide valid travel documents, third country visas and onward tickets to leave for a third country or region within 72 hours.
